Thi was a very smooth well balanced coffee with the plum flavours coming out in a subtle way. Well balanced, but boring and lacking the intensity, mouth feel and syrupyness of when I grind finer.
One things to note is that I started doing WDT in teh shgaker which is makig a much moe fluffy grind going inot the puck. I think this is making a cleaner shot an making it run slughtly faster.
The other thing is that it’s hitting the 1.6 gms/sec as soon as the brew phase cuts in. I feel I should be grinding finer and letting the puck do the reistance work a bit more.
Given this new setup I might drop the pressure on the fill pahse and extend slightly as well as grinding finer. Lets see hopw that works.
Second time I have had this winderful coffee. Although it has a night plum like fruitiness I prefer to make a more intense, syrupy and slihghtly bitter shot that has really nice mouth feel and balances milk perfectly. Grinding somewhere in teh low end of1.3.x
