At a grind setting of 1.3.7 (instea of 1.3.5), this shot was probably better balanced if I was going to drink it as a a straight shot or an americano. The plum flvours were well developed, there was sweetness and little bitterness. However, that does not work as well in the milk as the slightly bitter shot which has a rich velvety flavour and texture. However, the price for that richness in the 1.3.5 shot was a little too much bitterness. Initially I thought something in the middle, but I also know that this bean needs grinding slightly finer as it ages, so 1.3.5 may actually be best for the next shot.
Second time I have had this winderful coffee. Although it has a night plum like fruitiness I prefer to make a more intense, syrupy and slihghtly bitter shot that has really nice mouth feel and balances milk perfectly. Grinding somewhere in teh low end of1.3.x
