Notes:

First attempt at this blend from Sarnies. Ground at 1.2.5. Gave some initial harshness that could be mistaken for acidity, but given the medium dark roast and the long extraction it may have been a harsh bitterness or too much Co2 as it’s a bit too fresh (must manage my beans better).

WIll try 1.3.0 for the next shot. I think I should also go back to a baseline of 36 grams out. Forgot to change this from what is coipy of the Sarnies Guatemala profile. Also increase the pressure in teh brew phas a bit and let it run slightly faster (not that it ever hit 1.6 grams/ sec with this shot)

I suspect this is going to be an OK ish coffee shop blend for thoise who like a slightly darker roast.

Coffee bag notes:

On first taste this seems like a fairly standard cofee shop coffee for those who prefer a medium dark flavor. First shot was too fine, so it was more bitter than planned, so will reserve full judgement until it’s fully dialled in, but I’m not expecting anything brilliant or even a super rich creamy chocolate flavour like.

Its a little sad that Sarnies don;t give more info on the processing method or origin. I think this is a theme in these blends as they are a supplier of beans to coffee shops and restaurants around Bangkok.
