Notes:
First shot done correctly after changing the screen. Thats where the profiles are stored and I forgot to back them up! I notice now that I had previoulsy extended the fill / soak phase by about 3s so it's hard to get an exact comparison to that shot.
This is interesting though as that sourt apple fruitiness is definitely coming through. Its making for a clean finish and taste is OK, but I think I would like to take the dge off a bit more.
So decisions:
- Extend the pre-infusion by 3s as before (might release cellulose)
- Extend the ratio (might increase cellulose)
- Grind finer
- Increase temp
- Increase extraction pas pressure (might release cellulose)
Coffee bag notes:
I love this bean and got a rich intensity from the outset, stull trying to dial out a slight hint of cellulose, but not enough to detract from the enjoyment. Will definitely buy more!
