Bean notes:
The La Flor emerges as a blend of diverse coffee varietals. These lots are often found during cupping sessions in Huehuetenango, Chiquimula, San Marcos and other regions in Guatemala. The La Flor is an exclusive blend created by identifying small batches that appear from time to time during tasting sessions.
Growing at an average at 1500 masl, the coffee comes from small and medium-sized farmers who are part of the Growers Education Program (PECA). Through this program, producers have enhanced their drying processes and adopted selective harvesting techniques, resulting in improved quality. Many of these farmers are also behind the “El Jardin” label, further emphasizing their commitment to bettering coffee production practices.
