Frailesca is a community lot harvested by 24 diverse communities across the Sierra Madre mountains in Chiapas. Named after the broader agricultural region that serves as a gateway to the El Triunfo Biosphere Reserve, this coffee is a collective tribute to the cloud forests and the families who protect them. The farms are traditional polyculture “edible forests” grown at high altitude (12001800 masl). Ensambles Cafés Mexicanos and partner organizations support economic resilience, technical agronomy, women’s empowerment and education for children.
