NoteKokobe from the Aricha Washing Station. Around this station, you’ll find some of the region’s most vibrant coffee forests, where approximately 1,500 coffee growers earn their income producing tasty lots like this one. In your cup: Ripe and juicy blueberries with chocolate and caramel elegance. Comfy Ethiopia Natural at its best. Aricha used to be a forgotten station, abandoned, overgrown, and out of use for years. Local farmers had to trek their cherries to the next town over, often on foot or by mule. But just before the 2018 harvest, things changed and Aricha washing station got revived after a coffee ceremony with local elders (who gave their blessing) & the station found new life. Since then, the community has been working on clean water, a school, and building an electricity network for nearby villages. Boledu Industrial PLC sources directly from washing stations, bypassing the Ethiopian Coffee Exchange (ECX) to ensure full traceability and consistency. Washing station owners receive pre-financing and commit to supplying the coffee, with on-site agronomists supporting quality throughout processing. Farmers are trained before harvest on proper cherry selection for specialty coffee and the premiums it earns.
