The Very First COE Champion
Ever heard of the name? Yes, Niguse Gemeda Mude won the 1st place in COE 2020 with his “74158” lot. We would say this 74158 lot is showcasing the cultivar’s typical flavors very well. Unlike typical natural process Ethiopian coffees, this coffee is very clean and there isn’t berry like flavors that we always see when having Ethiopian naturals. On the other hand this lot is perfumed with delicate honeydew notes and white peach flavors, that we see in a great “74158” cultivar lot.
Our Tasting
This is our 2nd purchase from Niguse, 2022 harvest is tad more ripeness forward. Expect bright orange flavors with delicate lavender florals and perfumed honeydew finish.
