Altos de Marfil originates from the Bosques de Marfil, a 200-hectare natural reserve located near El Limo in Ecuador’s Loja province. This area’s warm climate, fertile soils and natural shade from native guabo and porotillo trees establish optimal conditions for coffee cultivation. Smallholding producers, many with generations of experience, cultivate coffee primarily using traditional methods but also incorporating newer varieties like Bourbon Sidra. Our coffee sourcing partners have partnered with these smallholder collectives since 2020, providing direct support to enhance quality through improved processing and drying techniques; an initiative we are proud to support.
