| Brew: Note | 1. Manual timer start today. Workflow and equipment placement refinements continue. 2. Slightly finer grind gave better responsiveness to the lever but I confused as to what the weight was looking at too many numbers and backed off prematurely (2 humps). That said I nearly perfectly it my weight target of 28.0 and was only of by 0.1g. 3. Steaming went mostly well. I continue to get more confidence with the new jug. It was a little thick today as I aerated to around 40%. 4. Latte art wasn’t too bad with the thicker foam. I was a little close during incorporation and ended up beige with a few too many white wisps. Placement and symmetry was a tad better but still off and I landed to close to the top. Summary: taste and presentation weren’t bad still room for refinement and establishing a more consistent baseline. |
