Wilson Sucaticona is a craft-driven farmer of Aymara descent. He inherited his 7.5 acre farm and took it to great renown in Peru, after receiving top awards. While the variety is supposedly Bourbon, it is unlike any Bourbon we have tasted, being far more floral.

Alto Lagunillas won the Best of Origin for Peru at the Specialty Coffee Association of America’s 2010 Roasters Guild Coffees of the Year Competition. Wilson has also won first prize in the Peruvian National Coffee Contest twice.
Wilson learned a tradition of coffee farming from his parents and has been farming coffee for over 20 years.
